That is 2 different things. Alex is mentally very tough. He can take adversity and trial. He can take the media hits he might get and won't to off the handle publicly or ruin the locker room. He could weather losing the first 3 or 4 games and not cave, just double down on film study and prep and workouts and come out swinging. He is no shrinking violet.
If you are talking about pocket presence against the pass rush, that is completely different. He often leaves a clean pocket under perceived pressure that isn't yet there. I don't know if that is from taking a beating his first few years or from taking a beating from early coaches about his play, or if he was that way in college. I have no clue.
Alex has great mental fortitude but that doesn't translate to pocket presence. Maybe Andy Reid will find the magic button, but I can't see it happening after 8 years.
