The 2's and 3's in the 90's were bad. It was mostly PF's and Centers in the 90's.
The PURE basketball players in the 90's were not that good, not like it is now and its not even ****ing close. Me basketball was the early 2000's to about 2005-2006. Its changed alot since then. Even Me me playrs like Russel Westbrook are averaging 8-9 assists per game

Sorry, but Vince Carter is everything I hate about the early 2000s era. McGrady... I'll give you, is maybe because of his shitty supporting casts. Carter was a ballhog, a guy who played horrible team basketball, and played shitty defense. Here is a great article:

The game has changed into ballhog basketball. That's BS that Jordan didn't defend good players and that Clyde Drexler is the only name you bring up. Jordan played in the 80's too, which was a guard/small forward era. And he was an elite defender in that era too. You have pure scorers like Magic, Isiah, Nique, Alex English, Bernard King, Moncrief, Dantley, Gervin, Mark Aguirre. And in the 90s, you have plenty of electric players he guarded like Reggie Miller, Iverson, Grant Hill, Dumars, Starks, Mitch Richmond, Glenn Rice, Penny Hardaway. And in the old era, you had to be not only a terrific on-the-ball defender, but phenomenal at off-the-ball defense because offenses in the 80's and 90's moved the ball a lot. There are some players on that list who could have been even more elite, if they were shooting 50% of the shots like players often do today.
Jordan would still be an elite defensive player in the 90's. Probably even better, since his forte was on-the-ball defense.
