On his final day, with a bit of struggle but very clearly he said, "you are a good guy," and "you helped me to converse again!" He started to cry and gave me a huge hug. He will need a lot more therapy to get his speech all the way back, and likely it won't ever fully get back. But he was one of the most motivated and inspirational patients I have ever seen. It was a great moment and I will never forget him.
