Guy1: "We're NOT killing him!"
They let him go, he tells, everyone but the lone survivor dies.
Solution: LEAVE THE ****ING KID TIED UP AND WALK AWAY! He gets found alive once noticed missing, by that time, you're long gone, everyone lives. No movie!

In the movie, they say that the herders would freeze to death at night if they left them tied up and that's just as good as killing them. I guess they never figured that someone would probably come to look for the herders after a while.
Which is why my solution is to just tie them all to each other. The walk down would take a really long time if they were all tied up together.
