I think Kendall is obviously in it for 3. But the Royals, I believe, are interested in him only because of 2, and this is what I see as desperation.
Can it hurt? Nope. But I don't believe it has much of a chance of helping.
Dude clearly has no chance of getting back to the ML, so that's moot.
