Sprint Center holds 17,544 for hockey. No way do we even come close to filling that stadium on a regular basis. There just aren't that many dedicated hockey fans in KC who aren't transplants of some other NHL team. The NBA would have a much better chance just because of the star factor when opposing teams come to visit. The NHL just doesn't have that. You'd probably have a hard time finding 17,000 people in Kansas City who could name more than 5 current hockey players.
