Agreed. The only guys on the front 7 we're missing are those who play a more supporting role. The Steelers had pretty terrific DEs, but nobody's making household names out of Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel.

The Chiefs' toughest pieces are in place for a 3-4. Houston, Hali, Poe (who MUST be developed as a nose tackle, because he can become a really unique player).

I do NOT want to move to a 4-3. Hali was a good 4-3 DE, but he's downright dominant in a 3-4. We have to assume that Houston can transition over, which means he might have to add weight or become reduced to a 1-dimensional speed rusher. We have to assume DJ can transition over to a Mike backer, which is going to add a whole other level of responsibility. We have NO players who can play the Sam or the Will. And at DT... we can't just have space fillers. We have to have two guys next to each other who are not only big, but quick and able to put pressure on the QB.

Reid's defense has no identity. Rather than build to a 4-3 we don't know will work, I'd much rather he flex to the talent we already have. Would be quite a thing if Ron Rivera is hired as DC and brought in to run a 3-4.
