It's been a couple of weeks since a golf post. I'd like to hear/read more golf stories from you guys. I hadn't played since last Tuesday but I got out and played nine holes today. This Oh' Boy(How would you spell that?) ask me if I wanted to play as I was stretching by the 1st tee. I said "sure, you gonna play the back tees with me?" He shook his head yes and walked back to the back tee. He made his play well before I was done with my stretching routine. I didn't rush.
I have this routine I go through on the first tee that allows me to pretty much smoke my first shot and it works so I stuck to it. I smoked it. Then I hit a full wedge to 2' from the cup. Birdie! I do that a lot. I think 'Red' was impressed. Anyway I shot -1 for the nine with 14 putts. I hit the first 5 fairways then missed the last two.
I only hit 5 greens in regulation and that's not really good for me on that particular nine holes. All in all that's good golf though.
It rained during the nine holes and when it subsided there was a beautiful rainbow. It was the first time I'd ever seen the whole rainbow. You could see it from ground zero on one side and then the whole arc to ground zero on the other side. It was perfect.
It was a nice early evening.
