Yeah. He really one-upped the AB. He needed Jesse to save his ass so he wasn't killed by Gus. Same thing with Tuco.
He was so ill-prepared for Hank's foray to the laundry that he had to crash his car. Let's also not forget that he left evidence that implicated him in the bathroom that his DEA BIL found while taking a shit.
Krazy 8 would have killed him in the third episode had he not seen the plate in a stroke of random luck. And even had Krazy 8 never had the sliver slide over to him, he would have informed on him like he did Emilio.
