The problem with the trade-out scenario is that it isn't realistic.

We need a QB but we don't think there's a QB there worth the #1 pick.

Teams trade up for QUARTERBACKS.

NOBODY is going to trade up. It's that simple.

A team is going to want to trade for a QB. If there's a QB there worth taking, we're taking him.
