There are several problems with the source.
First, press reports are rarely ever corrected if they are small blurbs which most dog attacks are.
Second, there is a huge selection bias. Media hypes and disproportionately reports on attacks by pitbulls or pitbull type dogs.
Cling to psuedo-science if you want, but that study is in no way accurate due to being solely based on news reports. If it was news reports crossed with police reports and other verification it would be robust. It's not.
