Alden says they made $1.7million more their first year in the SEC than had they stayed. But they had $13million withheld in penalties for leaving the Big 12 for a net -$11.3million.
He then says the new deal will be a "couple million more" than this year. But he doesn't mention that they no longer get the $4million in Tier 3 revenue that they used to keep to themselves in the Big 12:
