You hire a guy based on what he has done and that what he has done is what you want him to do.

Did Cowher do that? Or did the Rooneys? Or did the Steelers find themselves in a position where they drafted in a spot where a QB was a no-brainer? Doesn't change the fact that under Cowher, the Steelers used a gameplan of running to limit what Big Ben would have to do. I am not convinced Cowher's philosophy will have changed. He still strikes me as a guy who wants to play great defense, set up a power running game, and set up a conservative passing game that takes a few gambles a game.
