SI's Peter King writes that Brett Favre "wants to play football again" and his agent could ask the Packers to be taken off the league's reserve/retired list in the next ten 10 days.
It's the logical next step. King writes the Packers clearly don't want him back, so this would force the issue. They'd have to let Favre play or get rid of him, both of which sound frightening. They could also try one last time to convince him not to play. King believes that ultimately the Packers would take him back, risking the chance they alienate Aaron Rodgers.
