Also to anyone concerned with first shot accuracy, make sure after cleaning you fire off a round, the first round fired with a clean barrel will have a slightly different POI than the rest.

Thanks for the reply.
The only thing I worry about is the rod making contact with the barrel. The brush is softer, so it's impossible for it to damage the barrel.
When I get to rounds 3000-5000 on my .308's we will have a good reference. One barrel is chrome lined and the other is Stainless National Match.
