I got this from GreatBlueNorth.com...

(11: 00 AM): ‘Funny’ draft creeping up… Ask just about any personnel person from around the NFL and they’ll describe the upcoming draft as one of the most unusual in their experience. And its hard to know whether that’s playing a part , but with the draft rapidly approaching - we’ll be kicking off the second day of the 2005 draft a month today as we speak – the ‘buzz’ level regarding the upcoming draft is about the lowest we ever seen it this close to the big day Of course, the fact that its Easter weekend, a bit of a down period for people around the league, isn’t helping, but again this weekend there isn’t much to report. There’s also a chance that the dearth of news and near news could also be a bit of a reflection of the fact that the top of the 2005 draft board remains in something of a state of fluidity. Tennessee G.M. Floyd Reese, whose Titans pick 6th overall this year, for example, says that “in years prior you’d have five to ten lead-pipe cinches who’d go first, second, third, or fourth and it didn’t matter which team got the slot. That’s all out this year. I don’t think you could name the top 6 or 8 players on people’s boards and you couldn’t name the teams taking them.” Packers’ head coach Mike Sherman echoed some similar sentiments saying that “in a good draft you’d have 10-12 impact guys at the top of the board. I don’t think you see that this year.” Sherman added, though, that the positive news for this year’s draft is that “there is some good depth. You can really get a good player in the 3rd or 4th rounds.”

I found Sherman's quote to be interesting. For those wanting to grab a CB at 15 may not be anybetter than someone later in the draft. However, getting into the top 8 or so seems like a must if we are to get an impact player this draft.

I would do the deal for DJ if the opportunity presents itself.
