Wife made me watch The Proposal this weekend.

I was with it when Sandra Bullock's character left Ryan Reynolds' character at the alter, thinking that was pretty good and we might get something that wasn't your cookie cutter romantic comedy... then it started looking like he was gonna go after her. I looked at my wife and said, "If he goes after her, I'm done with this movie." He did. There just wasn't enough character movement through the film to make me even remotely believe they loved each other.

The only... ONLY... thing that became redeeming was at the end when he said, "Marry me, because I want to date you." At least they acknowledged he wasn't enough in love to marry her because he loved her, just so she could stay in the country.

As expected, the wife loved it. I did not. She's banned from the Netflix queue.

It was okay. Pretty much exactly what you knew it would be going in. Betty White was funny.
