Your philosophy sounds great. It really does. The problem is the Chiefs are an entirely unique situation. No pre-packaged franchise-building strategy applies this year to them. They've just got to play it by ear, make one decision at a time, and do the best they can to acquire talent, then see where they're at in 2014.
