I believe the best way to find your franchise QB is in the first round of the draft, but I never maintained that it is the only way.

I believe the best way to sustain success for a long period of time is to find a young QB just approaching his prime if you feel there is someone worth trading for or signing in free agency, as a 29-30 year old only has 4 or 5 years of prime remaining, and only 3 Qbs over the age of 33 have won SBs.
