Our best bet is to hope Rivera gets fired tomorrow, and let him convince Reid to stick to the 3-4.
Well, Kiffin is highly regarded as one of the greatest defensive coordinators in NFL history.

When he was defensive coordinator in Tampa for 13 seasons, his defenses finished in the top 10 in both points and yards allowed, 10x's.

Whether or not you like the Tampa 2 or 4-3, his success factor alone is something you may want to consider or open up to. The guy is as good as they come. Having an established def coordinator like this is a must for an offensive minded coach.

*I do not want to see shades of Dick Vermeil all over again. All offense and no defense. Hiring an establish def coordinator is equally as important as an offensive minded coach. I'd like to see balance and stability on both sides of the ball. What better people to have than Kiffin and Reid. Not only are they successful but they are consistent.

Tampa 2 or 4-3, who really cares? If what Kiffin does works and he is a master at it, then I'm taking that anyday week.
