1. You're right, we don't know what the compensation is and i have included that in my comments as a qualifying factor. I hope they didn't spend that much because
IF they did then they don't consider Alex Smith a stopgap and we are unlikely to draft a QB until the 4-ish round or later.
2. You're just hoping ... possible but not likely.
