How about they add in a pitfall during install that if you put in your code wrong it disables the entire game for you so that you just can't play it from the outset instead of doing the long drawn out process of getting pissed off because you did everything wrong builing your character and don't know why.
Sure, there is value in learning how to not make those mistakes, but if they don't add to the game aren't possible frustations like those just taking away from it?

but they do add to it. sadly now people just want things easy without the work. if everyone gets the reward just for showing up it doesn't have much meaning or value. but if people earn a reward by learning from there failures once they finally figure it out it is far more rewarding then for it to be just handed to you.
