Ask him to take a pay cut, then see how bad he wants to win.
The Royals are spending 1/4 of their payroll on a guy who if we're lucky, will play 100 games this year, at least half of those as a DH. It's moves like this that make me think Allard needs to go back to scouting and leave the GM job to somebody else.
