The Miami Herald reports Branden Albert is in fact targeting more money than the Rams paid Jake Long.
Yahoo previously reported Albert wanted in the range of Long money ($8.5 million annually), but it sounds like he wants $9 million a year or more. In annual average, the highest paid left tackle in football is Joe Thomas at $11.5 million. The highest paid guard is Carl Nicks ($9.5 million). Albert's franchise tender is worth $9.828 million contract, so he may be using that as a starting point.

Posted this because they show how much Joe Thomas gets. Wow Albert man, you don't have a market.
