There's pain and more than they tell you. Additionally, they fill your abdomen with gas in order to make room for the camera. This gas pressure, combined with constipation from the codeine, makes for a horrible few days of trying to poop unsuccessfully but always feeling immense pressure to.
You're better after a week and able to run after two.

THIS. Identical to my surgery. The doctor will not be able to describe the pain if they haven't had it done themselves. Day three and four were the toughest, I don't miss work and I missed a week for the surgery. You will not lift anything for four weeks....that's some serious stuff when they open your stomach area. Oh and my nuts were black and blue for three to four weeks. Mood killer for sure.
