Keith has been experimenting with recipes in the kitchen again, coming up with some new things for our members to sample, and I believe we have a winner, Stuffed Farmhouse Burgers. These can be made with either beef or pork but today he built two pork versions using pizza cheese curds in one and garlic cheese curds in another.
To start, weigh the ground beef or pork (sausage is even good) into 3 oz portions and form into patties. Make sure the patties are the same thickness all the way across. Top each patty with 1 oz of cheese curds (or any cheese that you like).
Add a second patty onto the first and seal the two together all the way around.
Season the patties with salt, pepper, and garlic, or whatever seasoning you prefer. These can be cooked on an outside grill or on a flat top inside.
Keith cooked ours inside and I was being very impatient waiting for the food to hit the table. He does recommend cooking them slowly so the center can get done to your liking. Once these guys hit the table the troops come running.
