I've got this feeling, too. I just can't see them being creative enough to let Cena drop the title. That said, I'm intrigued enough to watch the PPV in some form, it remains to be seen whether I actually buy it or just stream it though...
But Punk's really taken this whole "what are you gunna do, fire me?" thing to a new level. Based on the GQ interview & the fact that Punk just wants to wrestle, I'm fairly sure at the latest, he'll be back for RTWM 28, at which time, he needs to be in one of the "main events." He's earned at least that much after the last 3 weeks IMO.
