It seems more like you'd see them as aunts and uncles if you never grew up with them. I guess you have parents in common and perhaps some principles in how you were raised, but I would think that the parents would change after 10 or 20 years, so even that would be somewhat different.
But what do I know about it? I have one sibling who's less than two years different in age.
