It's very close between shit and ****. Shit is incredibly versatile as it fits so well into other words. Bullshit, chickenshit, shithead, dipshit, etc. **** is great because it is so versatile in that it can be used as different parts of speech. "Oh ****, she ****ed him over because she was ****ed by him earlier, but she doesn't give a **** because she is ****ing in love with him, and she is a fine **** so the situation is ****ing crazy." I'm going to go with shit because I use it more often.
