I only think this because these are the only two schools that have been mentioned specifically by Big 12 administrators during the Big 12 meetings a couple months ago.
Those are the only two schools that add any real value to the Big 12 at this point. If ND cannot be convinced then the deal will be finalized and signed. Which is probably what will end up happening...I think.

Why do you "think" that UT would want those 2 power schools in their conference? I don't think a few extra million a year is as important to UT as it is to the other schools who would be all over adding those 2 schools.
