I'm not sure why any MU fan would make a big deal about any other team trying to switch conferences.....MU has been trying to leave the Big 12 for years.

The idea that the conference stabilized before Missouri left seems silly to me. Especially after watching that whole Boren press conference debacle.
Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Big 12 meant no Big 12. Or a Big 12 you didn't want to be a part of. It wasn't like Nebraska or Colorado leaving. We were talking about the viability of the the whole conference.
The tectonic plates were still shifting at the time and Texas and OU wanted out every single year since 2009.
There were no good reasons for Missouri not to pull the trigger.
