If you are looking for slot receivers, there are a couple of guys that are giving you about the same thing in at the top this draft:
Odell Beckham, LSU; 5'11", 195 lbs.
Brandin Cooks, Oregon State; 5'10", 185 lbs.
Beckham is the most polished. He's got great hands and is an excellent route runner. He's also the most versatile of the three in that he's a superb punt and kick return man. He won the Paul Hornung Award this past season given to the best all-around football player in college.
Cooks is an excellent receiver and has a knack for breaking dudes off at the ankles, especially on deep routes and when the ball is in his hands. He is your Biletnikoff Award winner given to the best receiver in college.
Both are superb football players that have near identical skill sets. This one is like choosing between Eric Berry and Earl Thomas in 2010. I don't think that you are going to go wrong with either player. Both players upside is Steve Smith, though I don't know if either have the absolute fearless, toughness that made Smith so special.
Both are most likely first rounders and one should be available when the Chiefs pick.
Following them is a trio of slot type receivers that are, again, near identical in skill set and physical makeup:
Robert Herron, Wyoming; 5'9", 195 lbs.
Josh Huff, Oregon; 5'11", 210 lbs.
Bruce Ellington, South Carolina; 5'9", 195 lbs.
All three are very fast, stocky receivers with a lot of muscle. I though Herron was one of the standouts at the Senior Bowl. Ran really nice routes and showed good speed. I watched a couple of the Cowboys games this season and he really stands out on the football field.
