Your points are well taken and I agree with each of them. In addition to getting to face KC when the Chiefs had arguably their worst D ever Portis was in a system in Denver that fit his style perfectly.
His first year in DC showed he can't do it all by himself ala Barry Sanders but I admit I miss seeing him turn the corner. That guy can go to the house on any play.
