My wife served a smoked ham the previous 2 years, catering to my son-in-law who stated a preference for ham
Now I have a second son-in-law and turkey is back on the menu.
I like both, but my viewpoint on Thanksgiving is that the "main" entree is merely the hub in the wheel of the feast - it is entirely necessary and vital, but the stars are all the sides that go along with it.
