Smart's Win Share/40 rate is .225, while Ennis' WS/40 is .143, a gigantic difference. Smart's PER, TS%, TRB%, STL%, BLK%, TOV%, ORtg, and DRtg were also all better than Ennis. And their AST% were nearly identical (30.9 for Ennis, 30.2 for Smart). As I said before, the only thing that Ennis has on him as a basketball player is 3PT shooting. The value they provide overall really isn't all that close.

And Ennis was a freshman. And I did watch both play. And Ennis looked more in control and dependable than Smart. Smart plays his ****ing ass off every minute, which I love. But Ennis could easily be the better PG.
I love Ennis (with my Canadian background, I'm almost obligated to) and think he'll be a good NBA player, but he's not better than Smart. Guards as good as Smart don't come around all that often.
