Y'know what that is? That's a LBer biting on a play-fake. That shit's happened for years. Chip Kelly didn't come up with anything new or brilliant there, Flether bit on the run action and abandoned the seam - Vick hit the first read and it went for large yardage because the defense broke down. Duh.
The bubble screen he's sitting there saying that Vick read the crashing end - my ass; that was a designed screen. Vick had his damn back to the crashing end before he finished his rollout and executed the bubble screen to Jackson. Then a guy misses a tackle.
Kelly's offense is creative and varied - no question. But he hasn't reinvented the wheel here. He's run a dynamic offense with a bunch of speed and weapons and the Redskins simply couldn't play defense for shit that night.
It's a good offensive system, but if you play assignment sound football and don't over-pursue, you'll be fine.

agreed. to me, this is the Red Gun Offense, a WCO hybrid -- but with more emphasis on getting the ball out quickly and it has been refitted with modern trends of offense -- option etc.
But, if they can execute quick passing thursday, it's going to create certain challenges for the Chiefs' D. The Chiefs' D is stout and fast, but this is a group that has proven vulnerable to misdirection and trickery.
This article makes a very good point though -- "When you try to take away everything, you're left giving up the one thing you swore you wouldn't"
Sutton needs to keep this defense from imploding. let the walls close in on the Kelly offense when they get down close to the red zones, then knock the piss out of them with that front seven.
