WTF was that at the end,you have officers who have called for help and are trapped and yet it takes forever for the troops to arrive.Does anyone think that it was meant that way i.e. they were supposed to die and the cartel had gotten to dispatch,other officers etc,or did I miss something?

It's been a while since I saw it, but IIRC in real time it was supposed to be something like 5 to 7 minutes. An analysis I read indicated that with units being spread out, that was not a totally unrealistic response time.

A lot of LEOs seem to think the movie as a whole was very realistic.
