Southland is doing a slow burn on me, that that last episode was some of the most HARROWING shit I've ever seen outside premium cable or the movies.

Two beat cops had the beat dropped on them, when a couple of methheads were stealing conduit, and one of them bust one of the cops over the head with a shotgun from behind a blind corner of a pickup truck. Strip them down, take the weapons, radios, belts, cuffs etc. and throw them in the back of the truck to head off to methopotamia somewhere in the booneys. Cuffed them together with their own cuffs by interlocking their arms. Beatings ensue, one guy gets paranoid about the cops having trackers on their person. First he takes a blowtorch to the guy's thigh to try to coerce an admission. Then they take him to the bathroom for an anal probe and further beatings. Takes their ATM pins and runs off for quick money, then returns and shots the most abused of the two in the head. All this time they're in this tighty whities. Makes the survivor dig a grave and drag his partner out into it.
