There are plenty of things wrong with the iPhone and it's ecosystem but no new features because of the lack of competition is not one of them.
Hell, I just wish they would add themes to the iPod Touch. I hate the basic one they have now. I don't just mean the screen saver screen either. I'm talking about the entire springboard setup.
