The Raiders interview....WHO?

Raiders | Team interviews Shoop
Wed, 25 Jan 2006 07:15:14 -0800
Updating previous reports, the Chicago Tribune reports the Oakland Raiders interviewed quarterback coach John Shoop for their head coaching vacancy last week. "It's a great organization and I really enjoy working for Mr. Davis and the Raiders," Shoop said Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Mobile for workouts leading up to the Senior Bowl. "I feel great about (the interview) and about working for the Raiders in whatever role."

Has anyone with any credentials or HC worthyness even considered them or been considered by them? I hear the rotoruter man is flying in tomarrow followed by the Maytag repairman on Friday.

Ironic they're talking to a QB for coach when they should be talking to QBs

The Raiders did and they weren't.

The Raiders are going to hire Ken Whisenhunt from the Steelers.

John Schoop is the guy who was the Bears OC when Dick Jauron was the headcoach. He may have possibly been the worst OC in the history of the NFL.

That is the rumor, but why would he want to become the lowest paid head coach ( or close to it ) and have the least amount of power of any head coach??? Gotta pick your jobs closely... I think Kubiak made a good move waiting as long as he did for a job. The Texans may not have much now, but they have an owner and a front office that will give him what he needs...

I'd be extremely wary of hiring anyone from Pittsburgh to be a head coach........they've all flamed out badly.

I think Whisenhunt is Mike Mularkey part 2.
