I'm sure that will get better now that no one is scared of their running game.

Actually, that part of the argument was supposed to debunk the notion that he's a cheapass.

The Colts will likely draft a RB with their first pick........they'll probably eye Maroney he fits the offense they run.

How is that even possible within the cap? I just don't understand how the Chiefs (who have no contracts that size) can be over the cap while the Colts can just keep on signing people. How is that possible?

Well look at the rest of their team. We spread it out way more. Their entire team is draft picks, draft picks, draft picks, all over the field. Corey Simon is the only FA they've signed the last two years really. They've had to let talented guys like Mike Peterson and Marcus Washington walk.... they're going to have to let Edge walk. The rest of their entire team, backups and all, were all guys they drafted or picked up off the scrap heap. We don't have any huge contracts like that except for Surtain... but we have a ton of guys that were FA's or resigned draft picks. Green, Holmes, Gonzo, Roaf, Shields, etc, etc... we have a ton of money in the O-line, at least more than most teams. And on defense we have guys like Bell, Barber, Surtain, Warfield, Knight, Wesley, Woods. Those seven guys alone have a good chunk of bonus money.

This just set the market for Terrell Owens. You can bet he's going to come out looking for a similar sized contract if not bigger. Owens is a better player than Wayne, without question.

Yea, yea, I know he's got problems and whatever. But we're talking about Drew Rosenhaus and Terrell Owens the biggest duo of guys that don't get it in the history of the NFL. Theyll come out with those types of numbers in mind, and they will end up getting something not far from it. There may be behavior clauses, but he's still going to get paid.

Get out your checkbook Donkeys. This cancer is going to cost a lot. And hopefully so will the Chemo to get rid of him.
