Oldest Piece of Clothing You Own.

This morning when I crawled out of bed, I pulled on a pair of shorts that were pretty ragged. I stopped and thought about how old these things were, and it occurred to me that I have had them since high school.

I'm coming up on 15 years from graduation, so that means they are 15 years old at minimum. But they are a brand name that indicates I likely wore them when I was still skateboarding, which I quit around the time I got a driver's license. So a more accurate guess is that they are around 17 years old. 17 freaking years these shorts have lasted. They're kind of a sweatshirt material, and I rarely wear them for more than between bed and dressed in the morning, or shower and bed at night. But over the years, these things have to have months worth of wear on them.

So what's the oldest piece of clothing you own?

I bought a polyester suit from the Salvation Army store. I'm guessing its pretty old... Plaid pants with a light brown jacket... white crocodile shoes and a snazzy tie.

Wearing it when I goto Vegas this May as a joke

I have a sweater that I still wear, I love that thing. I have had for about sixteen years. I wear it with jeans and a turtle neck. Suppose I have taken good care of it because it still looks rather new. I also have some boots and jeans that are much older than that. Once you break in a good pair of boots or jeans it is very hard to give them up, at least for me it is.
