They got screwed. An incomplete pass was ruled a fumble TWICE, giving the ball to the Patriots. I'd be f**king furious.

Maybe replays should be done by a separate officiating crew that is NOT part of the on-field crew. They should rotate which on-field crew they work with through the year.

That was a fumble and Brady got speared in the back as he was sliding which wasn't called.

He wasn't sliding, but it was still an illegal hit that didn't get called. And I agree that it was a fumble, or at least too close to overturn (or criticize) the call on the field.

Wheter or not the arm was moving forward is a judgement call. They just kinda judge differently depending on who the QB is & what team he's on.

The difference maker was the 10 weeks Trent couldn't play and the 4 weeks he has been back but not been himself.

I think that there was no way the refs could overturn that. It looked like Garrard was trying to run with it and had no intentions of passing. But even if that was a bad call, the Jags received 7 pts off of a really weak roughing the passer call. With the Jags down 17-7, Garrard threw an Int at midfield but NE was called for a phantom roughing the passer penalty. After the penalty, the Jags proceeded to score to make it 17-14.

I was at the game yesterday and I think that NE just won the game because the are a better team than Jacksonville. Brady and their OL played very well, and the defense played pretty solid and was able to contain Garrard from scrambling for most of the game.
