CUT BOBBY SIPPIO NOW!!!!

He's infecting this team with his arena football roots. It's a virus.

Above all, get him away from Bowe!

More defense! Running! Ball control! We're gonna lose!

Based on the stats so far this season, it appears nearly all the routes Samie takes are of the decoy type.

Yes, I found the following in a Google cached page.

Big Chief
Bobby Sippio in NFL debut Sunday with Kansas City
14 Sep 2007 By Rick Pedone - News-Gazette Staff Writer
A little over a month ago Bobby Sippio was recuperating from a long Arena Football League season and visiting his parents in Kissimmee.
Sunday, he’ll be in a familiar city, Chicago, where he starred at wide receiver for the AFL’s Rush for two years.
But, this time he’ll suit up at Soldier Field for the Kansas City Chiefs when they visit the Bears.
His fast rise to the Chiefs can be attributed to talent, opportunity and a hefty dose of fate.
Sippio, a free agent, made the Chiefs’ 53-man roster after the final preseason game at St. Louis Aug. 30. Three days later he was dropped to the eight-man practice squad when the Chiefs added a linebacker.
Then, fate intervened when Kansas City’s top receiver, 12-year veteran Eddie Kennison, pulled a hamstring in the season-opener last Sunday at Houston. Sippio was recalled to the active roster Tuesday, signing a two-year contract.
Sippio said from Kansas City last week, before he was activated, that he was prepared for the opportunity.
“I’m on deck,” he said. “I’m going to do everything I can to be ready when it’s my time.”
Chiefs Coach Herman Edwards said about Sippio at his Tuesday press conference: “He’s a guy that we liked in the preseason. We got him in the Rams game and he did some good things. He’s been good practicing and is excited about his opportunity. He’s worked for it and now he’s going to get a chance.”
Since the Chiefs called Sippio Aug. 11, he has done just about everything right. He was one of several free agents featured in the HBO series “Hard Knocks” that chronicled the Chiefs training camp.
He was initially described in the series as the “longest of long shots.”
“I loved it. I was grateful for the publicity,” Sippio said. “I’ve talked to a few of the media because of it and had some things come up.”
His parents, Robert and Cynthia Sippio of Kissimmee, are thrilled for their oldest son.
“It’s great for him because all the hard work over the years has finally paid off,” said Robert Sippio. “It gives me a chance to reflect about how far this kid has come, through Arena League 2 to the Arena League to finally the NFL.”
Cynthia Sippio said she is proud of Bobby, “Just like I am of all of our kids when they reach milestones.”
Bobby’s brother, Roger, plays linebacker for the World Indoor Football League Osceola Ghostriders. His sister, Ra’Shawna, an all-state selection at OHS, is a junior playing for the University of South Alabama basketball team.
Robert Sippio tried to make arrangements to be in Chicago Sunday.
“I’m not sure if it’s going to work out, though. We might have to make it his first home game in Kansas City,” he said. “It’s really exciting that he’s already up on the active roster.”
Bobby Sippio, 6-3, 215, has tantalized NFL teams since he left Western Kentucky University as a junior after the 2001 season.
Sippio made the Miami Dolphins roster in 2004 as a defensive back, but a knee injury put him on injured reserve.
At 26, he understands that it is time to capitalize on the athletic ability that made him one of Osceola High’s greatest athletes. He played quarterback for OHS’s 1998 state championship team.
Despite missing four games with an ankle sprain, Sippio led the AFL in touchdowns (53) and scoring (318 points) in 2007. He helped Chicago win the 2006 AFL championship over the Orlando Predators, joining the team at midseason and catching 17 TD passes. In all with the Rush he scored 70 touchdowns, had 163 catches and 2,391 receiving yards.
Bobby was in Kissimmee to see his children, D-Nyyah (3) and Robert III (2), in early August when the Chiefs called.
“I was in football shape because I was just coming out of the Arena League season,” he said. “But I wasn’t in ‘40 shape.’ That’s the reason the coaches here thought I was slow.”
Robert Sippio said he tracked his son’s progress on HBO’s Hard Knocks.
“We didn’t know what was going to happen, so we were watching along with everyone else,” he said.
Cynthia Sippio also watched.
“I liked the coach’s (Edwards) demeanor. I think it’s a good place for Bobby to play,” she said.
Bobby Sippio said he enjoyed watching himself on HBO, but admitted that it seemed a little strange.
“It was good to hear the coaches say good things about me,” he said. “The part when they called me in to tell me that I was going on the practice team looked worse than it was. They had already told me that was going to happen.”
An interesting fact that emerged during the preseason camp is that Sippio and fellow receiver Dwayne Bowe, the first-round pick out of LSU, are cousins.
“They didn’t know until (Bowe’s) mother called and told him,” said Cynthia Sippio. “They grew up far apart and never had a chance to know one another.”
Bobby said that he is rooming with Bowe and helping him cope with the swirl of pressure and publicity that accompanies pro athletes.
“I talk to him, to tell him how it is and that he has to make the most of this,” Bobby Sippio said. “Nobody was there for me like that when I came up, and I probably wandered in the wrong direction a few times before I got it right.
“It’s like Eddie Kennison said, ‘You can either be here for two years or 14 years depending on how hard you work at it. It’s up to you.’”
Bobby’s agent, Martin Prince, said New Orleans and Chicago also expressed interest in the Kissimmee native.
“I have a relationship with (Chiefs personnel director) Ray Farmer, and they’ve been interested in Bobby for awhile. It just worked out that the time is right for him to be in Kansas City,” Prince said.
Prince was negotiating a new Arena League contract for Sippio before he made the Chiefs roster, one that would have made Sippio one of the league’s highest-paid players, but those talks are now on the shelf. Sippio was due to earn about $5,000 per week on the practice squad. Terms of his two-year contract weren’t released, but Prince said the NFL minimum is $290,000.
Bobby Sippio said he will make the most of this stint with the Chiefs, in part to reward parents who have been supportive.
“My faith helped me get here. I know it’s a great opportunity. I feel really blessed,” he said. “And my mom and dad are great. They have always been there for me. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them.”
Sippio said he will be No.4-ranked Osceola High’s biggest fan in the Midwest.
“They look great. You know my cousin is (quarterback) T’Sharvan Bell. He’s going to have a great year,” said Sippio. “I’m rooting for them, and I’m going to do anything I can to help them.”
