I really liked Grease when I was a teenager. It was on the other night and just seemed so cheesy, but I don't like musicals in general. FMB, I haven't seen many on your list, but I'll have to disagree with you on Chicago, horrible movie. One of the few times I wanted my money back. KZJ didn't even look good in it.

I've seen all or large part of these:

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - too young to remember much about it
Wizard of Oz - actually still like this one
My Fair Lady - too young to remember much about it
Sound of Music - nauseates me
Rocky Horror - humorous at least
Nightmare Before Christmas - entertaining
Little Shop of Horrors - saw it but don't remember much about it

I guess to summarize, the singing adds nothing to the movie for me and often breaks up the flow of the movie.

Does That Thing You Do count as a musical? I liked that one.

Singin' in the Rain is incredible, and my favorite musical of all time.

I wouldn't have categorized Rocky Horror or Little Shop as chick flicks. What are you considering a chick flick?

I'm not really calling any of them chick flicks. I just in general don't like musicals. It just seems to detract from the flow of the show.
