Cowher / KC?

Why has there been no real speculation outside of KC that Cowher may return to the Chiefs?

I see a LOT of speculation on this board, but all the chatter has been on other teams...

Are we really THAT far out in our hope?

I agree to this... Besides he will want total control and Clark has said he wants a GM to run the team from a player stand point...

While I think those things factor in, in no way shape or form, are those the ONLY factors. I think of Cowher as more of the Blue Collar type anyway. The Jets may only be offering a 3 year deal, he might not like their roster, they might not be offering final say on players, etc...we don't know the particulars of what is transpiring. I'm not going to say I know what's going on, but I can easily connect the dots and say Clark's quietness and Cowher's turning down a couple of other offers may be something more to it than just "There's absolutely no way in hell that Cowher is hired in Kansas City" like you stated. Usually, where's there's smoke, there's fire.

Your perception of Cowher may not be the reality. And in any case, I don't see any "smoke" coming from Kansas City or from the Cowher camp.

Face it, Dude: He's not going to Kansas City. No way.

Denver thinks they got a shot at Cowher but I don't see him going to Denver or the Chiefs.
reason #1 - 8-10 million a year
#2 - total control. Shanarat got fired because the owner wanted to take some control back so they wouldn't be just Shanny's Broncos among other things. I see Clark wanting to keep more control than Cowher would find acceptable especially since this is so early in his tenure at the big desk.
#3 - Cowher's got a pretty sweet gig right now. Spends the week with momma and goes to NY on the weekends for the TV stuff. Who wouldn't want to "have to go" to NYC every weekend to get a paycheck? I know I'd trade with him.
