Bought some furniture, how much do you tip the delivery guys?

Question in the title, how much is a proper tip for a bed and a couch? They will come tomorrow. Thanks

Well, that's a ridiculous fee for the service.

I sure as hell wouldn't expect anyone to pay a tip after that.

But then, most people don't tip anyway, so what the hell difference does it make?

Where I worked, delivery was free.

Of course, that was 25 years ago, and that place is long since out of business.

The restaurant owner deserves to be punished if his/her employees are giving shitty service.

This is the truth. The service there is uniformly poor.

You should all tell the salesperson that you will buy the item if they deliver it for free. Never had an issue getting the delivery charge dropped.

I call the company and tell them they did a great job. Money is a temporary thing. Praise for doing the job right = job security, and these days that is priceless.
