Started a new business

I had a hobby making pickled vegetables with a recipe that was handed down to me by this little old farm lady years ago.Enough people told me I needed to sell them that I started looking into it. Anyhow, 6 months later, I just had my first 50 cases made and looks like orders to my first major grocery store and some local joints as well. Holy crap. Today is day 1. Wish me luck.

This is awesome. Even if you don't become a millionaire, you're living the American Dream: You get to do what you WANT to do.

Congratulations. I hope everything goes well. If anything you have bigger balls than most everyone on here for doing this, myself included. And remember, risk = reward

You should try cucumbers. I bet they'd be good pickled.

I have a guy in Indian doing it for me. I am meeting with another grocery chain next week and the largest casual dining restaurant in the nation as well (cant say the name). I was really just hoping to give them out at bbq's or something but it has morphed into this huge thing.

to answer a few questions, I have 2 products. One is a jar of pickled carrots and celery in stalks that are about 8 inches long. They are more biney, spicy, and garlicky than "pickley" if that makes sense. They are called Bloodybuddeez and are a bloodymary garnish. The other is pickled (again, garlicky, briny, spicy) mix of celery, carrots, and cauliflower in bite sized pieces. They are called Buddeez Bitez. I actually have a real job, so right now It is a little bit crazy. Actually completely crazy. I have to travel to Iowa next week to meet with the grocer (HyVee).
