We lost Wade Smith

Texans sign Wade Smith
Veteran offensive lineman agrees to four-year deal

The Houston Texans have signed versatile offensive lineman Wade Smith.

According to FOX Sports, the four-year deal is worth $12 million and includes $6.25 million in guaranteed money.

Per the report, the Seattle Seahawks and the Chiefs were interested in Smith.

“Wade really enjoyed his other visits to Arizona and Buffalo, but Houston was the first team we heard from after midnight Friday," agent Brian Parker told Fox Sports. “He felt it was the right fit for him.”

Smith has played tackle, guard and center, but is primarily a guard.

Last season, he started nine games for the Chiefs.

Smith has previous stints with the MIami Dolphins and the New York Jets.

I agree, with a team stocked with talent at every position, lets upgrade our LT position....

Sorry, not kicking you personally in the nuts, just all those who really think that is a great idea.

I am certain now that the Chiefs will pick Punter, Kicker and running back with their first three picks.....
Let's embrace reality for just a little bit. That someone was the "best backup lineman" on the Chiefs last year was a mark of ignominy, not something to get excited about.

You really wanted to pay the guy who couldn't crack the Chief's starting lineup as an offensive lineman 3 million a year?

Ah man we lost our starting RG??? Better draft a LT in the 1st then and reshuffle the whole O-line

Or if that sounds crazy to you we could always draft a starting RG in the 2nd to mid rounds.
