If he turns out to be a stud, no one will lament the passing over of LB's in this draft.
At least I won't. There wasn't anyone that great anyway.

If you type in "Bowe Fitzgerald 2009" you will find little to nothing about them working out. Try 2010, and you will find a boat load of articles and quotes.

Agreed. There seems to be a high level of respect among the guys who are willing to come and put in the extra work.

It's encouraging that we have guys on the team that are doing these kind of things, not because they have too... just because they want to.

My glass is definately half-full right now. Got my fingers crossed for McCluster & Berry being in contention for 'Rookie of the Year' & the Chiefs getting at least one playoff game this coming post-season.

Ditto.

If he proves us all wrong, I'll still like the pick.

The Chiefs will be lucky to be 7-9 this season and it's tenuous at best to pin the hopes of the 2010 Chiefs on two rookies.

This team has a long way to go in terms of personnel before it can consistently compete for the playoffs, let alone a championship.

A LONG way to go.

Agreed. But 7-9 will seem like 11-5 compared to how we've played the last decade. I'm not saying we, as fans, should settle for that. But 7-9 typically means they were competitive in most games.

At this point, I will take "competitive" and read it as a sign of improvement from the 2009 season.

that is obvious...ridiculous to think a 10 game win team in 3 years will be anything more than .500 and probably less. 2010, 2011 is still growing and developing. I hope we all have the patience for that.

Agree 100%

The growth of the team hinges on these guys mainly:

Cassel, Cassel, Cassel x 1000
TyJack
Dorsey
Bowe
Berry
Albert
Charles
DJ and Hali
Flowers and Carr

Hey, at least we seem to have a core of players with alot of upside potential.
